A one-of-a-kind journey around Columbus through the eyes and words of 200+ local creatives.
COLUMBUS, OH (July 2017) | Coming soon: One city, creatively captured in two beautifully crafted coffee-table books that celebrate the creative electricity that flows through its communities and culture.
The Columbus Book Project was founded in 2013 by Alexia Winfield, who had recently moved to the Columbus area. She saw Columbus as an adventure, and set out to discover all it had to offer.
“Arriving in Columbus with no previous connection, I was faced with the challenge of immersing myself in the local experience. I couldn’t find the kind of guide I was looking for, so instead—the more I explored—this unfamiliar city inspired me. As l discovered Columbus, I realized I needed to create a coffee-table book that would be the guide I had wanted, so everyone (new or not) could get to know this amazing city.”
The duo of books will hit shelves in November 15, 2017. Each book is organized into curated sections that provide an art-gallery-like experience, inviting readers to travel into neighborhoods and get to know some of the people who’ve contributed to Columbus’ culture.
The books are designed to stand alone—featuring different visuals and narrative stories—but can be enjoyed as a bundle for the most immersive experience that captures Columbus in a way that’s never been seen before.
“The perfect love letter to Columbus, the Columbus Book Project captures the spirit of what’s happening right now in one of the most unique cities in America.”
